Be Happy (2015–2017) is a collaboration between collage artist Thomas Kong and the Roman Susan Art Foundation in Rogers Park. Kong is the proprietor of Kim's Foods, on the corner of Estes and Glenwood at the heart of the Mile of Murals. In 2017 a group of artists helped to create a public mural situated immediately outside Kim’s Corner Food to honor his contributions to the cultural vitality of the neighborhood. "Be Happy" by Thomas Kong was painted by Kristin Abhalter, Steven Husby, Dan Miller, Cole Pierce, Kit Rosenberg, Ruby T, and Alice Tippit, with assistance from Max Guy, Maika Saworski, and Nathan Smith.
